Nay started sailing at the age of 11 after her father pushed her into the sport. Although initially Nay was afraid to get into the sport because of social norms against having dark skin for a girl in Thailand, But once she stepped into the boat, she fell in love with the sport and being on the water. Nay went on to win multiple Asian Games medals and forged her reputation as a Thai force d’ jour. While not racing a 49er, Nay is an activist for women in sports in Thailand.
